KMST Ver. 1.2.395 Demon Slayer

Maple Story Test Client Ver. Release 1.2.395 has been corrected.

This patch fixes the following issues, have been added.

1. The new resistance group “Daemon Slayer> added.

- Demon Slayer, a former levels are as follows:

Requires 1 Demon Slash

HP Increase
Permanently increases your HP

Demon Slash
Attacks enemies in front of you with 4 consecutive attacks. Can get Demon Force from killing monsters.

Dash through a large amount of enemies in front of you

Demon Trace

Reflect damage back to your enemy. Cannot reflect more than half the monster’s HP

Physical Training
Permanently add STR and DEX

Outrage
Permanently increase attack and Critical Rate

Permanently increase the damage on Demon Slash

Dark Judgement
Attack both sides of the enemy with lethal damage

Death Draw
Drags enemies while attacking them. Has a chance to stun

Bloody Raven
Summon bloodthirsty crows to attack in front of you that can turn the damage they do into HP

Dark Endure
For a period of time, increase defense, stat resistance, and Elemental Resistance.

Demonic Breath
A poison demon is summoned to attack enemies around you, poisoning them for a period of time.

Evil Torture
Increases damage and critical chance to a hurt monster

Concentration
Permanently increases damage and weapon speed

Guard Force
Increases your chance to guard from enemy attacks. If successful, it will heal your HP and add Demon Force

Max Force
Increase your chances to get Demon Force after a short amount of time.

Reinforced Demon Slash (2nd)
Permanently increase the damage on Demon Slash

4th Job
Demon Explosion
Hover in the air for a short time to attack enemies with fatal damage

Demon Impact
Instantly attack a large number of monsters with lethal damage. This skill has a 100% critical chance and does bonus damage on bosses

Vampire Touch
For a period of time, enemy to damage will heal party member’s HP. However, it cannot heal more than 3% in one hit.

Devil Cry
Instantly emits potential threats everywhere, attacking monsters around you. Attacked monsters will reduce their defense, accuracy, attack and increases your chances of EXP and drop rate.

Maple Warrior
For a period of time, increase you and your party member’s stats

Metamorphosis
For a period of time, increase your damage and HP. It will also automatically attack surrounding enemies

Dark Bound
Attacks monsters and can do damage over time. It also has a passive effect of increasing your changes to ignore a monster’s PDRate

Infinite Force
For a short amount of time, you will have infinite amount of force. Has a cooldown.

Advanced Weapon Mastery
Increases your Weapon Mastery, attack, and minimum critical damage when using a 1H Axe or 1H BW

Hard Skin
Strengthens your body to reduce damage permanently.

Reinforced Demon Slash (Final)
Permanently increase the damage on Demon Slash

So I meant to post this on July 12th…but between moving and other things I got a bit tied up. Sorry I’ve been sucking so much at updating the blog! I’m going to be forcing myself to update it at least once a day! Mercedes just came out in KMS, but here are some screen shots from KMST!

I said I would quit GMS if I got into this term of KMST (Korean MapleStory Tespia/Test server) and it looks like I’ll have to make good on that promise because I did.

Level 70!

I finally hit level 70 on my Wild Hunter FalconPerch. It was surprisingly fast with the new PQ system (only 4 hours to get from 60-70). I started for a few hours last night and finished this afternoon. I’m loving 3rd job Wild Hunter so far…arrow machine gun baby!

An interesting afternoon spent LPQing where I met some interesting (to say the least) Korean players attempting to speak English. Check out the screen shots below for some laughs.

Note: The responses were unprovoked…they realized I was American (they were calling me a Yankee…haha) and this is what happened. Ultimately they stopped yelling random things and we PQ’d for a while. Koreans say the darndst things, huh?

The End of Helios Tower, the beginning of Leafre

In my last post I talked about the end of Helios Tower, an English KMS community a few friends and I ran earlier this year. I’m glad to announce that we have merged with a new KMS community site, Leafre.net, and that the HeliosTower guild will remain intact and is now part of the Leafre alliance. I encourage everyone who was a part of HT, is a player in KMS, or is looking to join the game to join Leafre. It’s a really great community full of welcoming people who will help you get started and adapt to the game. I’m in the process of moving all the guides from Helios Tower here to my blog so they should be up in a few days.

The Future of Helios Tower

As I’m waiting for the latest KMS patch to finish updating I figured I would talk a bit about the future of HeliosTower.NET. When I started the site along with Josh and Justin we offered it as an alternate community dedicated to bringing new players to the English community. After the GMS release of the Big Bang and due to personal issues for myself and the other admins slowly going inactive the site has come to a standstill. We’ve debated trying to revive the site, but there frankly isn’t enough manpower or draw to get people back to the site and the English community has already dwindled in the last few months making things harder. Therefore, in the next few weeks Helios Tower will probably be closing down. I will however be moving all the guides, any translation information I have, and other helpful posts to this blog to serve as a resource for English KMSers and future players. It makes the most sense and will help more people than the forum can at this point. I want to say thanks to everyone who was a part of HT and maybe some day we’ll bring it back.

Back From The Dead

It’s been a while since I’ve blogged here on the KMS Blog let alone KMS. I stopped by to check on HeliosTower.NET and saw that a new member had seen this blog, so I figured I’d see if there were any new comments on this blog since I last posted in November. Without getting into it too much, senior year coupled with my band coupled with a lot of family issues isn’t necessarily conducive to blogging about MapleStory. Since there were requests to start posting again since apparently this blog was found to be useful, I felt inspired to start and kick things into gear again especially since Spadow just called it quits (bummer, I know ) and people may want another resource for KMS. I doubt I’ll be nearly as helpful as Spadow (I can’t do translations…sorry I’m not Korean…but I can offer some tips and insight into the game and how to get started and join the English community and possibly be of some assistance to people.

I’ve had some time to play the GMS version of Big Bang and I’ve learned a lot. Prior to Big Bang, I was a strong advocate for only playing KMS but the game has improved immensely since then. It still lacks the fine tunings and perks that KMS has but it’s definitely worth playing. In my next post I’ll be comparing the two and outlining how you can play both versions and reap the benefits.
